Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Communication and Behavioural Sciences follows a rigorous, transparent, and objective peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, academic relevance, and integrity of all published research. All submitted manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial team to assess their scope, relevance, originality, formatting, and compliance with the journal’s submission requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic standards or fall outside the journal’s scope may be returned to the authors without external review.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are subjected to double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each manuscript is normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers assess the manuscript on the basis of its originality, significance, theoretical foundation, methodology, clarity of presentation, quality of analysis, validity of conclusions, references, and overall contribution to the field of communication and behavioural sciences.

Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, unbiased, and evidence-based comments that can assist authors in improving their manuscripts. They must maintain strict confidentiality and should disclose any potential conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment. Reviewers should not use unpublished information obtained through the review process for personal or professional advantage.

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial assessment, a manuscript may be accepted, accepted subject to minor revisions, returned for major revisions, or rejected. Where revisions are requested, authors are expected to respond carefully to reviewer comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the designated editorial authority. The journal does not guarantee acceptance based solely on favorable reviewer comments, and editorial decisions may consider the overall quality, originality, ethical compliance, and suitability of the manuscript for the journal.

The journal is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, fairness, independence, and academic integrity of the peer review process. Any suspected plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, authorship dispute, or other form of research misconduct identified during peer review will be handled in accordance with established publication-ethics principles.

The peer review process is intended to uphold high scholarly standards while providing authors with constructive feedback and ensuring that published articles make a meaningful contribution to the academic community.
